Rainbow Dash Gymnast by Kna Rainbow Dash Gymnast by Kna

a collection of the mane six ponies(plus derpy) doing rythmic gymnastics (r&g) each one with one element. ;)

For dash, i choosed the hoop, because it is a truly versatile element, just like dash. people usually do not appreciate it because its a begginer´s element but i always thought it was pretty awesome!
it looks like Fluttershy´s pose, but this one is a Trow [link]

i did it! i completed the series!! yay!

off course i do not own ponies, ponies (C) hasbro this is fan art etcetc

Oh, really? You have osgood-schlatter's? (stupid question I know) That's so sad! I couldn't imagine life without gymnastics at all. Gymnastics is kind of like going to war or to prison -  you quit and come back to the rest of society after so many years, and found out the whole world's moved on and it's impossible to return to normal society becuase there's this huge chunk of your life that's missing.
I'm getting a little bit too old to compete, but I'm probably gonna stay in as a coach..........
I don't know whether to be impressed you were a rhythmic gymnast or sad for you because you had to quit...............
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
But nevertheless, you were a rhythmic gymnast? That's really freakin' impressive, I've always been amazed by what those chicks can do with their bodies. I mean, ballerinas and regular gymnasts can do some pretty impressive things (myself not among them), and even me, I'm more flexible than most people, but damn, it's like those girls (and the occasional guy) don't even have bones. It's effin' nuts.
What was rg like? Was it as hard as it looks?

it was hard, but really worth it. i´m working little by little to regain my long lost flexibility(i was not very flexible from natural but thru hard work i achieved the flexibility that allowed me into elite)
but once you work hard, and after all that time, you realize"this is freedom!to be able to do the things i do,to feel like i do" and even though i´m pretty close i still can´t find that kind of peace even now. what you said about retuning from war/prison,i can relate,no one else said something like that to me before, but i DO understand. i have been there.part of me is still there. its like what i do now has no value, what i was, what i am.i feel incomple,i feel broke, even though i learned to draw,to practise martial arts,to play the ocarina, etc (have you saw Avatar korras show? this last season talks about this feeling a bit )
my biggest problem is not being able to use my leg as i want even today,i can handle the pain(its a lot less than before) but i can`t handle the feeling that i cannot trust my leg as it sometimes looses.but now i can do everyday stuff really well.most time i can hide the limp.

i`m really happy that you think rg is hard,a lot of persons think rythmic gymnasts are weak, and in a way they are, fragile, but every muscle is worked, and specially, the mind.we work thru many walls,as in the mental one, the physical one,to expand our limits via hard work and technique,or at least that is what i did back then. look how beatiful the well done things look, when someone works well and hard, it looks effortless, but it is not. i know you understand this, all gymnasts are like that! who cares about medals?? all this is about art and freedom!
